When visiting my boyfriend's family in Dripping Springs ( Half hour drive from Austin, Texas), I had the pleasure of visiting Jensen Ackles' brewery (opened recently - Family Business Beer Company). Their home is a short twenty minute drive from this newest attraction.
We were not completely sure what to expect. Will this bar resemble the binge worthy Supernatural television show, or will it just be your typical family owned brewery?
Well, I'm here to tell you my experience and thoughts!
We are a family-owned brewery on 15 acres just outside Austin in Dripping Springs. Come relax in the hill country and enjoy a wide variety of hand-crafted beers and one of Austin’s finest food trucks.
First Take:

When we first pulled up to this "Farm" brewery... we were greeted by a beautiful home and extra large metal building. The red metal building was much bigger than I was expecting. I should've known the size would be quite large due to the fact that many come just to check out a celebrities' brewery - hence requiring ample room.
The trees surrounding the buildings were beautiful, yet gave an eerie feel. I wish we were visiting them at night, to really get the sensation of "Fear".
I have to hand it to them, they picked the PERFECT plot of land. The size - 15 acres - allows for various seating, room for dogs, and even a playground for children. Hopefully there aren't any ghosts or demons lurking inside the slides and among the trees ;).

Our space features live music, a huge oak grove with games, a playground and a phenomenal food truck.

The Beer:
We focus on producing a variety of high-quality beers ranging from lagers to hop forward ales to barrel aged stouts and everything in between.
After entering the building, towards the back, the bar awaits for thirsty ghouls, goblins, and humans of all kinds. Family Business Beer Company offers a small selection of tap beers - each having a unique name. Between his family and I, we ordered 1 Hamilton, 2 Ghosts, and 1 Dark Star.
They also offer discounts to all military, veterans, and first responders!

The bar was BEAUTIFULLY decorated with wood accents.

Our Drink Experience:
Hamilton on the left, Ghost, Dark Star, and Ghost.
Out of these three beers, the family and I enjoyed Hamilton the most. It was light and crisp - refreshing. Dark Star zoomed into second place and Ghost - last. My boyfriend's father referred to the Ghost as herbicide HAHA - which he was not far off. It smelled and tasted similar to that of weeds / plants. Perhaps the ghost died in a forest? har har.

The Gift Shop / Merchandise :
Their merch was cute. I was definitely hoping for something more closely related to Supernatural, however they branded their apparel with the Family Business Beer Company name.
I completely understand that they're wanting to make this their "family brewery", but we all know many come because of Jensen Ackles' tie to the brewery.
Overall - Is It Worth It?
Yes. It's an AMAZING brewery. The only thing that seems to give customers a feeling of underjoy, is that it's vaguely related to Supernatural.
